Your Questions About How To Discover New Artists

Mark asks…

Is there any place online where I can order reprints of art by Mati Klarwein?

I have just discovered the artist Mati Klarwein and I would like to own a few replica posters/prints of his work. I just don’t know where I can find a place online to purchase his art. I checked ebay and amazon and they do not have much to offer in his work. Thank you for the help!

New Niche Finder answers:

Hi! Mati Klarwein prints are difficult to locate. I don’t know what you found on ebay or amazon, but wonder about the quality of the prints. He did have some very high quality limited edition prints available at some time during his career, which would be very valuable today.

Here is a link to the website featuring his work and background information. There is also a contact us link available there. I suggest you go right to the source and ask them for a referral.

Hope this helps. Best wishes!

Donald asks…

How often do you discover new artists you never heard of before?

RHH2: Who was the last artist you found out about?

New Niche Finder answers:

Maybe once a week these days, I used to read a lot of hip hop blogs and spend hours looking at different artists on Lastfm at work so I would find out like 10 artists a day but right now I’m too busy so I just stick to listening to what I got for the most part.

RHH2: I’m not sure.

Lizzie asks…

What music artists resemble Delerium and/or Enigma?

I used to use Pandora to discover new artists, but now they ad the heck out of it. I’m looking for other artists that have the downbeat, ethereal, passionate, almost-electronic music style of Delerium and Enigma. I don’t really like popular artists, so please recommend only artists you think are somewhat unknown. Any recommendations? Thanks so much! ^_^

Dead Can Dance
Mediaeval Baebes (to a lesser extent, though)

Donna asks…

Can you name some other excellent jazz trumpeters?

I really like the tone and general style of players like Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard, Doc Cheatham, Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, and Miles Davis. I’m sure you probably know how hard it is to discover new artists no matter what genre you like, and I’m just looking for other players to listen to and mimic in my playing.

Chet Baker threw all his pain into his playing and it came out as total serenity.

Joseph asks…

Who is your favourite artist – it can be a painter or musician or some other craft maybe?

Have asked this Q before and discovered some great artists thru it. Please leave a link of their work if you are able. I’m more likely to award the 10 points to an answer with a link.

Thanks..will add mine tooo later.
