Joseph asks…

Any suggestions for good artist?

I really like Banksy & Alex Pardee. I’m interested in finding some new good artist. Preferably something like urban art, graffiti, or just anything similar to the artist I named. :)

Betty asks…

How do famous make-up artists get discovered?

Well, I tried asking this question before, but no one is answering HOW to get discovered….

I want to be a cosmetologist, but…?
Well, I’m 13 and I loooooooove doing make-up (esp. the eyes) and I’m pretty good at it I guess (please don’t take this the wrong way and think I’m being conceded! I’m not. :)) cuz I always get compliments from people in school or random people in stores and all the sephora people were drooling over it lol. My make-up is really unique and I always match it to my clothes and all that jazz. I guess what I’m trying to say is I might have the potential to be a good make-up artist. :) I know I’ll probably apply for a part time as one during high school/ college in macy’s or dillard’s or sephora, but I can’t have that be my job forever cuz that probably wouldn’t pay enough for food and all the necessities (and spoilers :D) of life. So I want to find out how famous make-up artists (like the fashion show ones) get discovered. I really want to take te make-up passion thing to the highest level I can because I think it’s something I want to do in my life. So is it all about connections and luck or is there something else that would raise the chances of me pursuing this dream? btw, I’m pretty good at doing hair too. Will that help? Please tell me as much as you can. Thank yoouuu. :)

New Niche Finder answers:

You may want to think about attending a cosmetology school when you finish high school. This will help you to refine your technique, introduce you to new tools, and help you meet people in the cosmetology field.
One way to get discovered is to become involved with doing theater or fashion-show makeup. It may be difficult at first to find positions in these sort of jobs, but keep trying!

How do you think artists discover their musical identity?

New Niche Finder answers:

Hmmm, interesting question. I believe that most artists find their musical identity from listening to a song. I believe that there is one song out there for every artist that just gives them an epiphany, that’s what happened to me when i was 14. That epiphany shows them that music is and needs to be a key part of their life and for most musicians we know it as the day we became musicians.

Best site for discovering new artists?

What is a good site where I can click on my favorite genre, and there are profiles of artists and such?

New Niche Finder answers:

Pandora.com is pretty good. You type in a band or song you like and and you can listen to samples of matches they give you. Good stuff

Thomas asks…

similar songs or artists!?

I have a voice very close to that of Katy Perry, Colbie Caillat, and Ingrid Michaelson. I just started making youtube videos and i was looking for songs that would sound good with my voice or similar artists to these! Anything helps! Thanks! :)

New Niche Finder answers:

Type in any of these artists names on pandora, and it will give you songs that sound similar to the ones that they sing. That way, you can discover artists with specific similarities that you may not have heard of or thought of.
