You should read the host! It’s also by Stephenie Meyer.
In the host you are transported into the future and you meet Wanderer. Wanderer is a soul. After these creatures realized that humans were ruining the earth the souls took over using our bodies as hosts not only to save the planet, but to survive.Wanderer of course is special. She has been on seven different planets in seven different hosts. She is an expert so to say. And unlike every other soul her mission is special. Wanderers host body Melanie had been part of a group of humans trying to escape from the souls.
Before Melanie could do anything important she was discovered by the souls. Rather than let her body lead them to the people she loved the most, her boyfriend Jared and brother Jamie, she tries to commit suicide by throwing herself down an elevator shaft. The souls discover this and heal her body before they insert wanderer.
Once inside Wanderer was to try to unlock any usefull information from Melanie’s memories but soon discovers that she can’t for Melanie still lives on inside her. Wanderer soon discovers that she can’t do it and plans to make a run for it.
Melanie begins to help her after she runs and Wanderer soon finds what she was looking for. But it wasn’t exactly a warm welcome.

What is the difference between books with different publishers?
To be more specific, Im trying to buy a To kill a mockingbird, but theres one by Vintage Classics and one by Arrow Book Ltd. Vintage Classics is more expensive. Is there a difference?
Also do editions of books matter? I wouldn’t want to read a book whose text has been changed from the original authors.
New Niche Finder answers:
I typed the title “To Kill a Mockingbird” into the search bar, from the page revealed checking the Barnes & Noble site where I discovered several editions being offered with different publishers represented — not very helpful in answering your question as they all purported to be the same novel. Therefore, I tried ebay and found numerous editions for sale there. Apparently the editions by different publishers were issued over the years since the book was originally published in 1960. There is a 1962 paperback edition on ebay for sale at a reasonable price, most likely the book’s first paperback issue. I think that most likely all the various editions tell the same unaltered version of the story, so you probably won’t go wrong regardless which one you purchase. On ebay first editions in hardback and pristine conditions are selling for two hundred dollars or more with an autographed copy in the “buy now” category requiring a nine hundred dollar investment! So, you can spend whatever you want depending upon which edition you choose to buy!
What book would you recommend for teenage girls?
I want a book that has a little action and a little romance in it. But it could just be romance. I don’t want a book about adults though. I don’t want a book with an overused plot. The book has to be unpredictable. The main character has to be a girl. Could you recommend some books? Thank you!
No vampire stories please.

Morgan has never been someone people noticed, until an exciting new senior, Cal, enrolls in her high school. Cal reveals that he and his mother are Wiccans (witches), and Morgan, who seems unusually sensitive to natural energies and adept at “magick,” becomes the focus of his attention. Could she be a blood witch, a member of one of the Seven Great Clans? This is largely an unexceptional high-school romance (first in a series) that spends inordinate amounts of time describing what the well-dressed teenage witch is wearing this season.

The story swirls around and through sibling rivalry, peer relationships, friendships, and love. Raven is a feisty protagonist with a quick wit and a real sense of self. Lord of the Rings
Eragon (just the first one)

You may want to try a few more of Robin McKinley’s (who wrote The Hero and the Crown) other books.
Tamora Pierce is someone you should look into. Start with her Song of the Lioness Quartet. The first book in the series is Alanna: The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce:
Eleven-year-old Alanna, who aspires to be a knight even though she is a girl, disguises herself as a boy to become a royal page, a learning many hard less along her path to high adventure.
Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. The first book in the series is The Final Empire:
For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the “Sliver of Infinity,” reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler’s most hellish prison. Kelsier “snapped” and found in himself the powers of a Mistborn. A brilliant thief and natural leader, he turned his talents to the ultimate caper, with the Lord Ruler himself as the mark.
Kelsier recruited the underworld’s elite, the smartest and most trustworthy allomancers, each of whom shares one of his many powers, and all of whom relish a high-stakes challenge. Only then does he reveal his ultimate dream, not just the greatest heist in history, but the downfall of the divine despot.
But even with the best criminal crew ever assembled, Kel’s plan looks more like the ultimate long shot, until luck brings a ragged girl named Vin into his life. Like him, she’s a half-Skaa orphan, but she’s lived a much harsher life. Vin has learned to expect betrayal from everyone she meets, and gotten it. She will have to learn to trust, if Kel is to help her master powers of which she never dreamed.
Demon Cycle series by Peter V Brett. The first book in the series is The Painted Man:
Eleven-year-old Arlen lives with his parents on their small farmstead, half a day’s ride away from the isolated hamlet of Tibbet’s Brook.
As dusk falls upon Arlan’s world, a strange mist rises from the ground, a mist carrying nightmares to the surface. A mist that promises a violent death to any foolish enough to brave the coming darkness, for hungry corelings – demons that cannot be harmed by mortal weapons – materialize from the vapours to feed on the living. As the sun sets, people have no choice but to take shelter behind magical wards and pray that their protection holds until the creatures dissolve with the first signs of dawn.
When Arlen’s life is shattered by the demon plague, he is forced to see that it is fear, rather than the demons, which truly cripples humanity. Believing that there is more to his world than to live in constant fear, he must risk leaving the safety of his wards to discover a different path.
In the small town of Cutter’s Hollow, Leesha’s perfect future is destroyed by betrayal and a simple lie. Publicly shamed, she is reduced to gathering herbs and tending an old woman more fearsome than the corelings. Yet in her disgrace, she becomes the guardian of dangerous ancient knowledge.
Orphaned and crippled in a demon attack, young Rojer takes solace in mastering the musical arts of a Jongleur, only to learn that his unique talent gives him unexpected power over the night.
Together, these three young people will offer humanity a last, fleeting chance of survival.
