Your Questions About How To Discover New Books

Lisa asks…

What are some really good quotes from all of the twilight books?

I was wondering what are some really good quotes from any of the Twilight saga books. It can be your favorite quote or one that you thought you really liked or found funny.

New Niche Finder answers:

“Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars –points of light and reason….And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by light. I couldn’t see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything”

That’s a beautiful literary metaphor, perfect for a report.

There’s also the famous “And so the lion fell in love with the lamb.”

Probably not much use in a report but I love “Oh, a sadistic vampire, intent on torturing her to death, sure, no problem, she runs off to meet him. An IV, on the other hand… ”

Renee said: “There’s something strange about the way you two are together… The way he watches you- it’s so… Protective. Like he’s about to throw himself in fromt of a bullet to save you or something”

and “Sleep, my Bella. Dream happy dreams. You are the only one who has ever touched my heart. It will always be yours. Sleep, my only love. ”
A sweet Edward quote, totally shows how much he loves her.

*”No, I don’t want to be without you, Bella, of course not. Be rational. And I have no problem with saving you, either — if it weren’t for the fact that I was the one putting you in danger… that I’m the reason that you’re here.” -Edward Cullen
*”You are my life. You’re the only thing it would hurt me to lose.” -Bella Swan

In New Moon:
*”So maybe this is hell. I don’t care. I’ll take it.” – Edward Cullen
*”How can I put this so that you’ll believe me? You’re not asleep, and you’re not dead. I’m here, and I love you. I have always loved you, and I will always love you. I was thinking of you, seeing your face in my mind, every second that I was away. When I told you that I didn’t want you, it was the very blackest kind of blasphemy.” – Edward Cullen

In Eclipse: I have a few faves..
*”There’s something… Strange about the way you two are together… The way he watches you—it’s so… Protective. Like he’s about to throw himself in front of a bullet to save you or something.” — Renee Dwyer
*”Do you ever think that your life might be easier if you weren’t in love with me?” — Edward Cullen
*”Besides… The more time I spend with you, the more human emotions seem comprehensible to me. I’m discovering that I can sympathize with Heathcliff in ways I didn’t think possible before.” — Edward Cullen

In Breaking Dawn: my favorite will always be that last line..
“And then we continued blissfully into this small but perfect piece of our forever.”

..as you can see, I usually like Edward’s lines because they tend to be with deeper meanings! I LOVE IT..

Jenny asks…

how would you feel if your boyfriend turns out to be a pick up artist?

Say you recently met a guy who is very smooth and charming. He keeps you intrigued and you quickly develop a relationship with him. Then waking up alone in his room after a romantic night you discover a book underneath his bed. Its called “How to get beautiful women in bed”. He has bookmarked the pages and highlighted things to memorize.
How would you feel about him then?

New Niche Finder answers:

So basically he’s a huge beta loser. Ouch. That really sucks. Literally the thought of being with such a weak helpless man disgusts me. Does he also have a copy of cosmo?

Robert asks…

What does it mean for something to be a boys novel?

I recently discovered a book called After Summer, a Summer Boys Novel and I’m wondering what it means for it to be a “Boys Novel”. Is it written specifically for boys or..?

New Niche Finder answers:

Well in this case a Summer Boys Novel refers to a series of romance novels written by Hailey Abbot. She also has a series of books called Summer Girls. I don’t know a lot about it but I’d say most boys don’t really want to read a romance novel, well not straight boys anyway unless if it has some exciting sex scenes it then an adolescent boy will read anything.

I did see by some reviews that some boys thought it was meant for boys to read and felt that it was really a book written for girls. I’m not sure of the authors intent.

Normally when something is marketed as a boys novel it has content in it that would appeal to boys.

“A Summer Boys Novel” can be misleading making you think it’s a book for boys. Maybe that’s what the author or publishing company wanted?

Thomas asks…

What are some sci-fi books with sufficiently advanced technology?

I don’t mean sci-fi books where (lost) technology is treated like magic.

I mean something where having your brain put into a machine that can keep it (brain) alive while streaming your consciousness into an android is as common as owning a boat. Or where humans are implanted with nanobots. Something like that.

I really like it when the protagonist is savvy/clever and generally cool headed, by the way.

New Niche Finder answers:

Look no further than Larry Niven. Try his book of short stories “Neutron Star” or launch right into Ringworld and discover exactly what you seek.

Mark asks…

Can I turn my published book into a screenplay?

I just self published a book through Createspace.com. I was thinking of turning it into a screenplay and trying my luck with movies/TV. Would I be able to do that since it’s already in print and being sold on createspace and amazon? Or do I have to wait for a producer or someone in the business to discover the book and request it?

New Niche Finder answers:

Either way, do you really think it will happen?
