Your Questions About How To Discover New Things

William asks…

what career in the study of history could I persue?

I always thought becoming an archeologist would be so exciting! Ancient Egypt has always fascinated me, especially the story of Cleopatra. I’ve done some reasearch and archeology doesn’t pay much which isnt all i’m looking for but still i need to be able to live a stable life. And the thought of being just some history teacher sounds boring. I want to learn and discover things about Ancient Egypt and especially Cleopatra… what are my options?

New Niche Finder answers:

You will NOT get a paying job or earn income studying Cleopatra,

Betty asks…

Where can I find a CHEAP Volkswagen Thing?

Well I really like vintage cars (which can get a little expensive). And at first I wanted a VW Transporter or (Hippie Van). But I have come to discover the Thing. So I would like to find a nice Cheap one.

New Niche Finder answers:

Cheap and Thing do not go together. I paid $1800 for a 1973 basket case that kinda ran. I had to put it all back together to drive it, but it was worth it. I watched ot for sale for 8 months and talked him down from $3200. It is my 2nd Thing. My 1st was a 1974. Thesamba.com is a good place to start or craigslist in your area (or where ever you are willing to travel to)
Things were only imported for 2 years into the U.S.A.. Mine was built in Mexico and is a rust bucket (but not any worse than my 67 split window bus)
There are a few on thesamba for $3000 and less, but they will need a lot of work (fun cars to build)

Salary would likely be in the low to mid US$6figure range

Lisa asks…

Is this a good short start to my book?

This would be like a short prologue. Its a draft.
It happened on a Sunday. I was taken, I never thought things like that could happen to me. I discovered things I never thought to be real. And don’t think just because I’m telling you my story I’ll be alive at the end.
How can I make this better/more detailed.

New Niche Finder answers:

No. Don’t use that.
Do not start out with a narrative summery telling readers what will happen. Don’t break the 4th wall and say your telling a story.
No prologue, start on chapter one.
Put your character there in the scene where they will be snatched.
