Lizzie asks…

How can I find a new, flattering hairstyle?

I have very fine, blonde hair that reaches just to my boobs. Right now it has no layers, nothing. I’ve recently decided that I’d like a change, but I’m having difficulty deciding on what to change to. I have an oval face shape, by the way.

I like this hairstyle, I’m just not sure it would look good on me. It’s kinda hard to tell in the picture- but some of the hair is in layers at her shoulder, then the rest drops an inch or so past.

I also like this hairstyle on Keira Knightley. Again, I just don’t know if it would look good on me.

These are just two options. Anything else anyone wants to suggest would be great. I normally go for the more traditional styles, so these are a bit out of the box for me. I’m also a junior in high school, if that helps. Thank you!

New Niche Finder answers:

Personally I prefer the look from Keira Knightley. At the moment there’s a trend going around with the ‘demi-bob’. Alexa Chung and Arizona Muse are good examples of this, and its quite similar to KK actually, with a few variations. Just some suggestions :)

Here’s also another one from KK that I love but is also a change:

I think Instyle online also allows you to upload your photo for free so you can experiment with different hairstyles and colour if you want.
Hope that helps : )

Nancy asks…

i like how will smith’s hair looked in Hitch. does anyone know exactly what its called? it would also help if u could tell me how to cut my hair like that and what i should use to keep it like that (gel, mousse, etc)

okay now i know what its called (taper fade)

but i need to know how to maintain it now. is there gel or mousse used?
btw thanks b34chBum for that site it helped a lil bit but it really didn’t say too much.

New Niche Finder answers:

That’s a taper fade a crew cut is a hair cut u get in the army
u don’t need to maintain it just keep it clean and neat and your on your way

Daniel asks…

How to get a new Hairstyle(For Guys)?

I’m a guy and I want a new hairstyle. I am not used to this. For my whole life my idea of a hairstyle has been short or really short. But I am tired of having the same hairstyle as everyone else. I want something new.

I found a picture of a hairstyle that looks awesome in a magazine. I think it would look good on me. It has the perfect blend of uniqueness, professionalism, and conservatism.

But now what do I do? Can I just take this picture to ANY hair place? Do I have to go to a Salon or can I just go to Supercuts or someplace?

Thanks in advance.

New Niche Finder answers:

Usually boy haircuts are a lot easier. For sure just take the picture in they get that all the time. If you want to add color to it go to a salon they’ve had mroe practice and take there jobs very seriously. But if you need cheap I’d say supercuts would be fine.
