Your Questions About New Market Niches

Laura asks…

Why are some major college football team’s games on pay per view?

I can understand niche teams like Temple or New Hampshire not having major T-V deals and relying on pay per view, but why do major teams with millions of fans (like Auburn and Alabama for instance) put their games on pay per view? It kind of takes them down a couple notches in my mind. Makes them seem like small market teams with no support. I understand the games this year that have been on PPV for the teams I mentioned were out of conference games against cupcake opponents, but I’d think watching a guaranteed W would get a good rating..

New Niche Finder answers:

The teams don’t do it, the networks do. The PPV games are typically being telecast as regional games, but not in your area. They are put on PPV because it’s an easy way for the networks and service providers to make a little extra money plus allow fans from other areas to see their teams play.

Do you know which Advertising Agency handles Panasonic in the UK or US? URGENT!?

I have a proposal that could enhance their current marketing efforts in Nigeria – using the Home video and niche filmakers community. Could help drive their Video and movie cameras and new technology like P2 card

New Niche Finder answers:

You don’t need to contact the current advertising agency, you should contact Panasonic itself. Make an appointment to see the Director of marketing and sales. Or whoever is the decision maker regarding advertising. Sell it to Panasonic and let them pass it on if they want it. Approaching the ad agency, they could listen, turn you down and a few months later they use your idea and make it look like it was their idea. Get it in writing!

What is the best way to Market and Promote a travel package to Costa Rica?

I have an adventure tour company in Costa Rica and need to promote it and draw clients from other countries. My website is www.costaricasafaris.com
What is the best way to promote this business and tap into the tourist market and to reach this market niche for adventure travel? That is my question. Anyone with answers? Thanks.

New Niche Finder answers:

There are some sites online that pay you in advertisements for clicking on links or receiving their email. That would be a good way of getting free advertising online. Then you could also take out an ad in the paper there and have a commercial. Get out there and let it be known who you are and what you are selling.

Mandy asks…

Can I get good traffic to my blog making connections in social networks?

I find a lot of people belong to the same marketing niche as me. How do I get them to my blog? Can I write a random person from the same niche a message to invite him or her to my profile where I announce my blog posts in status updates in social networks like Facebook? Is it spamming? If not what should I write them? Can I send the same message to many random people interested in my niche? Is it OK? What to do next and what to expect? I don’t want them to be my business partners – I just need blog readers. Do you have an experience like this? Please, share. Thanks

New Niche Finder answers:

Hi, dear Zlive!
As a person having an account on FB I can tell what I would react to myself:
1. Write a respectful message to your potential future friends and give a short introduction of your blog/an interesting blog post of yours. If those people visit your blog and like it they are likely to continue keeping in touch.
2. Only when you have already seen their positive reaction, you can send them a friend request so that they can see your posts on FB from your blog.
3. In general, the more interesting your content is, the more coverage it is going to get since many viewers will share your blog if they like something there.
I don’t think this is spamming. My reaction at least would be normal.

Is email marketing dead for internet marketing?

I just wanted to know if email marketing is dead or not? Like is still the best way to market products and services? Especially within the Internet marketing niche?

New Niche Finder answers:

Google “email marketing” and see how many results you get. Email Marketing is definitely not dead, actually, it is still said to be one of the marketing tools with the highest ROI. Though it seems that Social Media is taking all people’s attention over, you still cannot deny that email marketing is still more powerful for business!

Social networks are like the old square where people used to get together and listen to a lecture. It’s good for making you a “celebrity” over one night if you know how to speak there. However, how many salesman have you seen that succeeded in selling things in the square? Not so many… Email Marketing is more targeted and cost-effective, and as long as emails don’t die out, email marketing will still be alive.
