Joseph asks…

Where can I sell my crematorium burial niche?

Need to sell my existing burial niche situated in a Brisbane crematorium.

New Niche Finder answers:

I see burial plots for sale in paper every week so if you have proof of ownership there must be way to transfer. The business office at cementary should have info or paper work you need. If you think about it they are basically in real estate(ha ha) I have also heard of people helping out families with there spot donated to them when several died togeather. So there is a way.

Laura asks…

What are some good niche markets?

We have been doing online marketing for “real estate” clients over the past 4 years. I would like to branch off into other niche markets. Anyone have any suggestions as to what markets would be good to consider? Or maybe an exhaustive list of niche markets to explore?

New Niche Finder answers:

I don’t know of any website offering an exhaustive list of niche markets to explore. Niche markets are something you have to find for yourself; many when they discover a niche immediately put a stake on it as theirs. Why share a profitable niche to others? Niche by definition is a specialized market, and your goal is to have as few competitors as possible.

Given your business experience, what do you think are areas in your industry that have not been tapped? Are there any needs that are currently not being addressed? If not in your current industry, is there anything that you need but no one is currently giving it to you in a way that you want to? Ask yourself these questions — and then that’s your niche.

What is the difference between Gourmet and Bon Appetit magazines?

They are both published by the same company; are these two magazines supposed to have different niches, or what? I just don’t know why Conde Nast would publish two food magazines that are kind of on the same level.

New Niche Finder answers:

Gourmet is the “snootier” version of Bon Appetit, with more random travel articles, less recipes, and fancier food. I have no idea why I still subscribe to it. I like Bon Appetit better.

James asks…

Whats the difference between a niche and an ecosystem? EASY QUESTION BIO?

do they both contain abiotic and biotic factors?
is a niche smaller than an ecosystem?
what is the combination of biotic and abiotic factors?…i thought the answer was niche AND ecosystem, but my teacher says its just ecosystem…why?

New Niche Finder answers:

Yes they both contain biotic and abiotic factors
no, a niche doesn’t neccessarily have to be smaller than an ecosystem
the answer is ecosystem because niche is to specific organisms, and the combination of biotic and abiotic factors is a generalized term that describes the generalized environment, which is the ecosystem
