Your Questions About New Niches

John asks…

Are all the niches within the ecosystem occupied?

Ecologists have argued about whether all niches within ecosystems are occupied. Present examples that support both sides of the argument.

New Niche Finder answers:

Nope. I live in Los Angeles. There are no natural predators for human beings here, hence humans reproduce without natural controls.

Donna asks…

As organisms first evolved, how did natural selection contribute to biodiversity?

A:Organisms were able to find niches that were best suited to their needs.
B:The fittest organisms took advantage of new resources.
C:The strongest organisms beat out the competition for resources.
D:The least fit organisms occupied new niches.

New Niche Finder answers:

I’m heavily inclined to say:
A:Organisms were able to find niches that were best suited to their needs.

The question is, “How did natural selection contribute to BIODIVERSITY?”

Organisms are able to diversify from each other when they acquire different niches. Since there is limited competition in these niches, populations are capable of evolving separate of populations occupying other niches. Speciation occurs.

Jenny asks…

in a 3-5 paragraph, explain how the words community, population, habi tat, niche, and ecosystem are related?

hi everyone
in case you didnt understand my question here it is again: Can anyone in a 3-5 paragraph, explain how the words community, population, habi tat, niche, and ecosystem are related to one and another?

this question is based on ecology and must be 3-5 sentences long. answer as soon as possible

thanks to averyone that answers

New Niche Finder answers:

Community is the state of being in which communal entities come together in unity. The word population is a derivative of the word popular, and therefore it has to do with the most popular individuals within a society. Habitat has to do with bad habits. When someone has a large number of bad habits, it’s known as a habitat. Niche is similar to an itch, but it’s an itch that results from a very specific type of bug bite. The itch is so bad, they use the word Niche instead of itch. Finally, ecosystem refers to a new environmentally friendly operating system for Apple computers.

Hope this helps! :)

Sandy asks…

Give examples that would demonstrate the differences between the terms niche and habitat?

Give examples that would demonstrate the differences between the terms niche and habitat

New Niche Finder answers:

Technically, a habitat is where a specific species lives, and describes the location in physical terms (ocean, salt marsh, sandy beach). A “biome” is a type of habitat unassociated with a species. For example, you will find the “boreal forest” biome in two continents, but only one of them is habitat for the north american Snowy Owl.

An ecological niche usually refers to the *role* the animals plays, what it eats, what eats it, etc.

Mary asks…

What keywords should I use for different types of cookbooks?

I am building a website, with cook books as my niche. There are over 150 different types of cook books I will have for purchase on my website, but I do not have any keywords to target all of these items. what keywords should i use?

New Niche Finder answers:

I think cookbooks in general is a very competetive industry, therefore competetive keywords associated with it. Even if you try to market the different types of cookbooks you may have some major competetion. Is it possible to refine your niche to perhaps ‘cookbooks for beginners’ or ‘recipes with fewer than 8 ingredients’ rather than the standard types of cookbooks, etc???

There are a few good keyword research tools that I recommend: http://www.keyworddiscovery.com and http://www.wordtracker.com They should help you in discovering new keywords and keyphrases.

I recently wrote an article on defining the proper keywords. Maybe it will help you further: http://www.spiderseeker.com
